🌟 Exciting News! 🌟

Recently, the Townsville Folk Festival was honoured to attend the Townsville Indigenous Community Art Awards (TICA), presented by Big Eye Theatre Inc. Organised by the Big Eye Theatre. Although Madonna couldn't make it, Robyn had the privilege of stepping in for her, and it turned out to be a truly special evening.

These awards are determined by the Traditional Owners of this land, the Wulgurukaba nation, who recognise representatives from the arts community who have made significant contributions to supporting the culture and performance opportunities for local Indigenous artists. It's not something you can nominate for, making it even more meaningful.
Robyn was proud to represent the Townsville Folk Festival's amazing group of volunteer organisers, who are dedicated to elevating the status of First Nations artists. The celebration was sincere, positive, and deeply humbling.

A big thank you to everyone involved for creating such a beautiful night celebrating our vibrant arts community!
